Find your event photos with one selfie
Your photographer shares the event's photos on SnapMila. You can scroll the whole gallery in your phone's browser, or take one selfie in the SnapMila app and see only the photos you are in.

What you need
- The event's QR code or link: on a table card or poster, or in a message from your photographer or host.
- An Android phone for the selfie. The iPhone app is coming; until then, see the iPhone question below.
- No account. Guests never sign up.
Steps
- Open the event. Scan the QR with your phone camera, or tap the link. The gallery opens in your browser. A private gallery asks for its 4-digit PIN first; your photographer or host has it.
- Open the app. Tap Open on the “Get the SnapMila app” banner. If the app isn't on your phone, Google Play opens; once it is installed, the app opens this event on its own.
- Start the search. On the Find your photos card, tap Take a selfie. Tick the box that lets SnapMila use your selfie for this event, then tap Take a selfie again.
- Take one selfie. Fit your face in the oval, in good light, facing the camera, with sunglasses off.
- See your photos. In a few seconds the app shows “We found you in … photos”. The You tab holds your photos, newest first; Everyone holds the whole gallery.
- Save the ones you like, in full quality.
Get new photos of you as they are taken
Turn on Send me new photos of me. As new photos of you reach the gallery, your phone gets an alert such as “3 new photos of you”. At most one alert comes every two minutes, so a burst of photos arrives together. Alerts stay on for three days, and you can turn them off any time.
Not in any photo yet? The same switch reads Tell me when I show up, so you hear the moment you are in one.
If the app hasn't found you
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| We haven't found you yet | The photographer may still be shooting: turn on Tell me when I show up. If you wore sunglasses, a veil or a sehra for the selfie, tap Retake selfie without it. |
| We couldn't see a face | Take it again in good light, facing the camera. |
| More than one face is in the selfie | Take it with only your face in the frame. People far behind you are fine; a friend next to you is not. |
| Face search is busy | Try again in a few seconds. |
| Allow SnapMila to use the camera | Open your phone's Settings, find SnapMila and allow the camera. |
A face that is very small in a photo, such as at the back of a big group shot, or turned well away from the camera, may not be found. Look through Everyone for those.
Your selfie and your privacy
- Your selfie becomes a face code — 128 numbers, not a picture — and is dropped at once. The app deletes its own copy too.
- The face code stays on your phone. With alerts on, our server keeps it for three days.
- Only this event's photos are searched, on SnapMila's own servers. No face-recognition company sees your face.
- Forget my face on this phone removes the face code and stops the alerts.
- A photo the photographer hides never shows up in your search.
The details are in the privacy policy.
More with your photos
- Make my reel turns your photos into a short reel on your phone, in about half a minute, ready to share.
- On a photographer's studio page, one selfie finds you across every event they show there.
Questions
Does it cost anything?
No. Guests pay nothing and make no account.
I have an iPhone.
The iPhone app is coming. Until then, open the link in your browser and save photos from the full gallery.
Can I search on a computer?
The selfie needs the phone app. On a computer, the gallery opens in the browser and every photo can be saved.
Will my selfie find me in other events?
No. It searches only the event you opened, or the events on the studio page you opened.
